Internet Marketing Tips – How To Ruin A 3 Minute Egg

How does ruining a 3 minute egg have anything to do with Internet marketing?” Well, because I’m such a big tease, I’m going to make you wait until the end of this article to give you the answer to that question. No, not what it has to do with Internet marketing, but how to actually ruin a 3 minute egg. I am going to first answer the question as to what this has to do with Internet marketing. So pay close attention.
Did you ever hear the expression, “like a bull in a China shop?” Sure you have. Do you know what it means? Sure you do. So then let me ask you a question.
Why do you do it when it comes to your Internet marketing tactics?
Oh, don’t deny it. We’re all guilty of this tactic from time to time. Even I am, though I am trying real hard to break myself of this very bad habit. I think I have made a lot of progress in this area. What area am I talking about? I’m talking about our sales pitches. More specifically, how hard we pitch and how often we make the pitch…especially with our lists.
People hate to be sold to as it is, but when you send them a sales pitch day after day after day and tell them under no uncertain terms that if they don’t get your product NOW, they are going to end up in a place far worse than the devil’s kitchen. You’d think it was a matter of life and death that they get YOUR product in order to be successful. Guess what? It’s not…so get over yourself.
The truth is, most of the stuff that people sell can be easily found online for free if people would just spend enough time looking for it. Of course, if time is important to you, you’d rather spend the few bucks than to have to spend countless hours hunting things down. I know that I’d rather just plunk down a few bucks on an Adwords book that has been proven to work than to have to dig for stuff on my own.
But that doesn’t mean you hammer people with your pitch day after day after day. How about giving them some free advice first? How about showing them that you’re not just after their hard earned money? After all, it’s not all about the mighty dollar. Besides, if you show your prospects that you’re willing to give more than you’re asking for in return, they might turn out to be paying customers a lot sooner.
In other words, don’t be that bull on a China shop.
So, how DO you ruin a 3 minute egg?
By cooking it for 4 minutes.
Just like you’re doing with your prospects.
Stop it! Before you end up with scrambled eggs.
