Internet Marketing Tips – Is There Money in What You Love?
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsI see this question asked all the time. It goes something like this. “Should I promote a niche product simply because I know it’s going to make me a lot of money or should I get involved in a niche that I have a love for, even if I’m not sure it can be profitable?” Okay, the answer to that question depends on what your goal is. So let’s take the goal first and then we can answer the question.
Let’s say your goal is only to enjoy what you’re doing because the thought of doing something that doesn’t interest you just makes you sick. In that case, the best answer is to go with what you love. If for some reason there’s no money in it, at least you’ll be enjoying what you do until you finally give up on it from frustration. Oh, and trust me…you will. I learned this from my own personal experience. I got involved in a niche I knew there was no money in simply because I loved it so much. Eventually, I stopped promoting my product because ultimately, I needed to make money to support my family and this niche wasn’t going to do it. I’m assuming this isn’t just a hobby for you.
Truth is, eventually, no matter how much you love something, if it’s not making you any money, unless that really isn’t a consideration at all, you’re going to get tired of putting all those hours into it. I know I did.
Now, if your goal is to make money, then this is what I’d do. Take that love and see if there IS a demand for it before you decide to chuck it all. You might find out that your great love is shared by many other people and those people would be happy to spend money on whatever you have to offer in relation to that love.
Point is, there is no reason to give up on what you really want to do before finding out if it has the chance to turn a profit. Worst case scenario is that your research shows that there is no profit potential and you end up choosing a niche simply because you know it can make you money.
Yes, you really CAN have it all…I know I do.
