Internet Marketing Tips – J is For Joint Ventures
No CommentsI’ve been waiting for this installment for a long time. In my Internet marketing, A-Z series, I am finally up to the letter J and one of the most important things to becoming a successful Internet marketer. I’m talking about joint ventures. And the reason it’s so important is because there is only so much one person can do on his own. This article is going to explain the importance of joint ventures and then point you to where you can get more info on just how to nail the joint venture of your dreams.
A joint venture, contrary to what many marketers believe, is when two or more marketers get together and create and market a product collectively. Emailing “Joe Blow Guru” and saying, “Hey, will you promote my product for me?” is NOT a joint venture. That is simply getting an affiliate for your product. It is NOT the same thing. Okay, I just wanted to make that clear right from the start. The question is, why is a joint venture so important?
There are many answers to that question, but the simplest and most important one is leverage. The best way to explain this is with an example. Let’s say you have a great product idea but you don’t have much of a list and you could also use some help with some of the creation aspects. Now, you contact the marketer of your choice, present your JV proposal, they accept and NOW, you get this person’s expertise in the area where you are weak AND you get their list to market to as well. This is called leverage and it’s a powerful thing. In the meantime, the other marketer gets your great product idea and a chance to make more money from it by marketing to this big list of his.
Another important aspect of joint ventures is time. There is only so much of it available to you. By pooling your resources with other marketers, you can get things done a lot faster. Suddenly, a 24 hour day essentially becomes a 48 hour day or longer, depending on how many people you have working. It’s almost like cloning yourself. Better…if the people you’re working with are even more talented than yourself.
Naturally, getting as joint venture takes some doing. You have to have something to offer and you have to know just how to approach these people. Many marketers don’t have a clue in this area. Well, in my signature you’ll find a resource that will fill in all the missing pieces for you.
