Who are you? Does the world out there know? Do you have a name that people recognize? When people talk about the top marketers and products in a niche, does your name pop up? If you can’t answer yes to all of these questions then you have an identity crisis with your prospects. If you’re going to make it in this business, you better have a name and a brand. People better know who you are. In this article, I’m going to give you some advice that will help you establish your brand and your name.

The Internet has come a long way from the early days. We have technology available to us now that we could have only dreamed of 10 years ago. Part of that is online radio. There are sites now where you can actually setup your own radio show. That’s right. Get on the air and let people hear and see you. Yes, you can be seen as well if you go the audio and video route. Go check out shows by Kevin Riley and Jason Moffatt. These guys are real pros and many folks know who they are.

If you really want to brand yourself and make yourself known, offer to be a guest on one of these shows and share some of your great Internet marketing knowledge. Earlier this year, I was on Willie Crawford’s radio show and I talked about article marketing. A lot of people got to know me after that broadcast and I actually made quite a few sales because of it. Since that time, I’ve actually become known as the Article Marketing King. Not a bad rep I got there.

But the most important thing is actually coming up with a brand itself. How do you want to be recognized by others? If you can’t think of something yourself, hire a PR guy to do it for you. Sure, it’s going to cost you a few bucks, but the right branding will do wonders for your Internet marketing career. The bottom line is this. If you don’t get out there and make yourself known, Jack isn’t going to know you from Adam. You’ll be just another obscure name in the Internet marketing world.

And that, my friend, is a fate worse than death.
