Internet Marketing Tips – Less Complaining and More Doing

Okay, major rant coming because I am sick and tired of all the whining that I hear online when it comes to marketing. If these people spent more time actually doing something than complaining about all the things that are wrong out in the marketing world, maybe they’d actually get something done and maybe they’d actually make some money. Anyway, if you’re one of those whiners, you probably won’t want to read this, but you should. It might actually make you some money in the process.

Let’s start off with one of the biggest complaints I hear today…about how article directories are cracking down on writers. Suddenly, the crappy articles that they used to write aren’t being accepted anymore. The standards have been raised. No more 250 word articles. No more rewriting the same article over and over. No more articles that are nothing more than a sales pitch. Suddenly, writers have to start writing. Well, instead f complaining about this because your gravy train has suddenly stopped running, here’s a novel concept. How about starting to write articles that people actually want to READ?

Here’s another complaint I hear a lot now. It’s about the new FTC guidelines. You know the ones I’m talking about. No more testimonials showing insane results without a disclaimer showing either what the typical results are OR showing how that person specifically got THEIR results. And then of course there is the problem with affiliate marketing. Now, you have to let people know that you’re being compensated for any purchase made from your blog, web site or whatever. Hey, here’s another novel concept. How about making or selling a product that actually WORKS? That way, you won’t have to worry about bogus testimonials or disclosures about compensation. And affiliates, try offering bonuses for people to buy from you. If they’re good bonuses, you’ll make lots of sales. Again, it comes down to quality.

My point is simple. Instead of wasting a lot of energy whining about all the things you don’t like, how about sitting down and thinking about how you can overcome these obstacles? I take every change as a challenge and welcome it. It ends up making me a better marketer.

Anyway, you can whine and moan about all the changes forcing you to actually run an ethical business or you can sit down and figure out how to work with these changes and maybe even make more money in the process.

As they say, the choice is entirely yours.

    To YOUR Success,
