    Internet Marketing Tips – Make It As Easy As You Can For Your Customer

    Know what I hate? I hate it when merchants make me jump through hoops to get their product or only give me one option to pay them. This is just bad business all the way around. Are you guilty of this? If so, you might want to read this article because believe it or not, you ARE losing business whether you know it or not. Some people will just turn away from you without blinking an eye. This article will give you some solid tips on how to keep your customer happy and coming back again and again.

    Let’s start with payment methods. There are so many ways to accept payments online that it isn’t even funny. So why is it that I see so many pages that will only accept payment through credit card, or only through PayPal or only through EGold? I mean what is it with these people? Don’t they want to make money? Don’t they realize that they are losing tons of business by not offering multiple payment options? Not everybody has a credit card. Not everybody can use PayPal. Not everybody even knows what EGold is, let alone know how to use it. If you want to make as many sales as possible, you must offer as many payment options as possible. There is no debate here. Single payment option sites lose sales…period.

    Okay, now let’s talk about delivery of the product, assuming it’s a digital product and not something that has to be mailed out. There is no reason, first of all, for this product not to be available through an immediate download right after purchase is made. Requiring the customer to first opt in, then reply to an email to confirm their address then have to wait for yet another email to get their download link is just plain wrong. They paid for the item…they should get it immediately. They shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get what they paid for. No excuses!

    Finally, there is customer service. Your customer should get an immediate email with all the info that they need to download the product and use it in case something went wrong during the download process, which is always possible. You should also include how to get in touch with you if there is a problem. The customer should have to do very little in the way of accessing and using the product short of downloading it and opening it. It should be an easy and painless process.

    Those of us who make sure our customers are treated in this manner are the ones who will be most successful online.

    If you think I’m kidding, try putting up a site with “EGold only accepted” and make the person reply to three emails before they get their product. You won’t be in business for very long.
