We’re up to one of my favorite parts of Internet marketing…offline gold. Yes, in this installment of Internet marketing A-Z, I’m going to cover one of the hottest topics of late, thanks to a couple of marketers who have really shown people how to do this the right way. But is offline gold for YOU? That’s a question that I am going to try to help you answer in this article.

For those of you who don’t know what offline gold refers to, it is essentially taking your Internet marketing skills and bringing them to the brick and mortar world of offline businesses. You know, those folks with grocery stores, auto repair shops and whatever else you can think of that you frequent on a regular basis. Yes, even your local diner.

The premise is simple. You approach businesses offline and show them how they can increase their business by having a web presence. Believe it or not, there are many people in the offline world who don’t have web sites. Internet marketers seem to think that just because they’re online all hours of the day that everybody else is too. Truth is, some people only go online to check their email and go to YouTube to watch videos. Even if they HAD a business, they might not think to advertise online.

But…is this for you? Well, I can tell you right up front, if you don’t like dealing with people face to face, probably not. See, a lot of marketers think that they can just send out form letters to these businesses and get their business. It’s not quite that easy. You have to be able to actually sit down, speak with these people, and explain to them WHY a web presence is going to help them. Not everybody can do this, either because they don’t have the skill, or more commonly, don’t know how to speak to people face to face. It’s a lot different from communicating online.

Taking your skills offline can be very profitable…IF you know how to go about it and IF you can do the face to face thing. It’s at least something to consider.
