Today, more than ever, it’s really hard to get your share of the marketplace. There are more offers out there than people know what to do with. So to get your piece of the pie, sometimes you really have to get creative. In this article, I’m going to give you an example of just how I got creative with one of my promotions. You’re going to really enjoy this.

I was fooling around with my digital camcorder and Camtasia Studio one day. I decided that I would take one of my skills and try to market one of my products with this skill. So I made a quick six minute video, did some mixing, added a few things and uploaded it to YouTube. But that was just the start. The next step was to make sure that people knew about it.

So the next thing I did was hit some forums that I attend and let people know that I had made this video. I let them know what it was about in a way that I knew would grab their interest. I had no doubt that they’d be flocking to YouTube to see just what was up. But I didn’t stop here. I knew I had a lot more work to do.

So the next thing I did was send out a special broadcast to my several lists. I didn’t sell them anything. I just said, hey, you just have to see this really great video that I put together and didn’t tell them much about it. I figured they’d be curious to see what it was. I must have reached about 2,000 people with this mailing. I then waited for the results.

Well, they weren’t out of the ballpark by any means, but quite a few people saw my video and ultimately purchased my product. These are people who might not have otherwise. So while I didn’t exactly set the world on fire, I did get a response that was certainly worth the effort I put in, which was all of maybe two hours.

The more things you come up with when it comes to your marketing, the more people you’re going to reach. By pulling out all the stops, you give yourself more chances to increase your income. That is the bottom line after all. It always works for me and it should work for you too.
