A lot of marketers are under the impression that when you do something marketing related, those efforts only last for a very short time and are then lost in cyberspace. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. This article is going to demonstrate this, with solid examples, why it is just not so. I think you will find this very interesting reading.

Let’s start off with this article. You’re probably reading this at EzineArticles, or possibly at some other site that has picked it up for syndication. Do you know that over the several years that I’ve been writing I’ve written thousands of other articles? Many of those articles are still being read and syndicated even today…many years later. In fact, I have some articles that are becoming popular again because they brought up topics that are once again becoming popular. Lots of things run in cycles.

Another example is my blog empire. I have quite a few of these blogs out there. Some of them are years old. I usually use AdSense as an income model for these blogs. Well, just today, a blog that I setup about a year and a half ago, one that I long forgot about, got $1.07 in AdSense revenue the other day. The blog is about Jordan Belfort who is an American author and spent some time in jail back when I created the blog. I have no idea why people are still checking him out today, but they are. Again, another example of past work being rewarded over a year later.

Then you have things like relationships. Today, I received an email from somebody who I worked with back in 2006. I never thought that I’d hear from this person again, but I did, and it looks like we’re going to be working together on something again. This could lead to a significant increase in revenue for both of us. Relationships are one thing that you never want to turn your back on once you’ve established them…not that you could. Do right by people once and they’ll remember you for a long time.

So you see, you ARE rewarded for your past efforts…constantly. So make sure that you go through each day with the attitude that what you’re going to do today is going to pay off for you for many years to come.

Many times…it does.
