Why do marketers insist on making things so hard on themselves? Why do they feel like they have to reinvent the wheel? It doesn’t matter what color your wheel is. They’re all round and all serve the same purpose, to make your vehicle go, or whatever that wheel may be attached to. Yet, I see it day after day. Some guy spends a gazillion hours working on something that could have taken him a few minutes if he had just learned from those who have gone before him.

For example, one of the most important things in Internet marketing is building a list of hungry prospects to market to. The problem most marketers have is that they don’t know how to communicate with their lists. They do things that end up turning their list subscribers into ex list subscribers. All of this could be avoided if they would just do something simple like get on a list of one of the top marketers online and see how THEY treat THEIR lists. By simply reading their emails, you could learn so much about email marketing and list building WITHOUT having to spend a fortune on ebooks to learn how.

Another big problem is sales pages. Everybody who decides to design their own product also feels that they have to design a sales page from scratch and pour through a ton of books on ad copy to figure out how to write a sales message. Well, I have a news flash for you. If you just go to the Clickbank marketplace and take a look at the top selling items at the marketplace and read THEIR sales pages, you’ll have more than enough of an education to be able to write your own sales messages, again, without having to spend a fortune on books on sales copy.

What about Adwords campaigns? So many marketers have no idea how to write an Adwords ad for their product. So they buy all these books on how to write ads for Adwords campaigns. Well, if they would just take the time to do a search on Google for the type of products that they plan to promote and look at the Adwords campaigns that are already running, they’d see exactly what kind of ads pull in clicks and sales. The ads that are constantly at the top of the search results are the ones that are getting the best click-thru rates. So why not emulate what these people do?

The truth is, all the best methods for everything in the world to do with marketing is already out there. All you have to do is look for it.

So open up your eyes and start looking.
