This is a rant that is long overdue. Too many Internet marketers waste their time on nonsense. As a result, what happens is that they don’t get any work done by the end of the day. This article is designed to give you a kick in the rear end so that you stop wasting your time and do the things that you’re supposed to do. I am going to point out some of the things that Internet marketers do that are a total waste of time.

Probably the biggest waste of time is checking your stats every five minutes. Trust me, they are not going to change very much. Stats do not change from minute to minute. If you want to check your stats do it once a day either at the very beginning of the day or at the very end of the day but don’t sit there clicking the refresh button trying to see if your stats are getting bigger. Trust me, It doesn’t work that way.

Another big waste of time is going to sites like YouTube to look at videos. I know that videos are fun to watch. But watching videos does not get your business going. I can understand wanting to watch videos if it’s for the purpose of research. That is a good thing, but watching a video just to be entertained is not going to get your work done. And you could spend hours wasting the day at YouTube. Please don’t get me wrong. I love this site. It is one of my favorite sites online, but when I have to do work I do work. I don’t watch videos.

Finally, there is spending her time at forums chitchatting. Now don’t get me wrong, I do spend a lot of time at forums, but I do it for marketing purposes. I give the other members useful information that will help them with their business and in turn that builds a reputation for me. That is why go to forums. By going to forums just for the purpose of saying “Hey how are you doing?” is not going to get your work done. If you’re going to go to a forum, go there with a purpose in mind.

If you follow these few basic tips. You will see that you’ll get a lot of work done a lot faster. And you won’t be wasting your day an unproductive matters.
