Internet Marketing Tips – Strike When the Iron is Hot
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsAs a marketer, you have to be flexible. Sure, a lot of things, when it comes to marketing, take time to plan out and execute. Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is a marketing campaign. However, sometimes, it’s important to jump on something right away. This article is going to explain when this is necessary and how to go about doing it. Yes, sometimes you have to strike when the iron is hot.
Okay, so when are these times? Well, most things that have to be jumped on right away are things that are very time sensitive. So what’s time sensitive? Well, most things in the news are very time sensitive. For example, take the Michael Vick signing with the Eagles as of this writing. If you were involved in the sports niche, this might be something you’d want to take advantage of quickly. Ah, but how do you do this? Below, I’m going to give you some tips.
Probably the first thing you want to do is put up a blog and get it pinged. If you already have a blog, add an article to it and put it up on the blog as soon as you can. After you’ve done this, you need to get the word out that this article is on your blog. Well, to begin with, you can hit social networking sites like Twitter. This way, you can send out tweets to all your followers about the new article. Sites like MySpace and Facebook are also good for spreading the news.
Next, you’ll want to go do social bookmarking sites like Digg and bookmark your article. This will assist in getting more eyeballs to your site. The more bookmarking sites you go to, the more people you’ll get to your blog.
But all the above is simply about getting traffic. Where is the money coming from? Traffic, without a means to monetize it, is meaningless. So how do we make our money? Well, there are plenty of things we can do to monetize our blog. An easy way is to put AdSense on it relevant to your niche. By making sure you’ve selected relevant keywords, Google should have no problem displaying relevant ads.
Aside from AdSense, if this is a niche that you’ve been in for a while, by now you probably know of quite a few products that you can sell as an affiliate. By placing these under your article, you can easily pick up a few sales if they’re relevant enough to the article itself. In most cases, these affiliate products take just minutes to sign up for.
Yes, sometimes you want to jump on something fast. The above tips should help you do just that and take advantage of any hot news item.
