Internet Marketing Tips – Talk To Your Prospects

This article is going to rub a lot of marketers the wrong way who either feel that the Internet should remain voiceless and faceless or just don’t want to be bothered having human contact with their prospects. Well, I can tell you from experience that you are leaving money on the table. Don’t know why? This article will give you the cold hard reality.
The Internet is a scary place for a lot of potential customers. There’s a whole world out there that has never bought anything from anyone that they couldn’t look at face to face. So going to some anonymous web page is a big thing for many. They’re hesitant to dig into their wallets to pull out their credit cards because of this and because of all the scams and thieves they’ve heard about running amok. Yeah, it’s downright frightening.
Because of this, people need some reassurance that you are a REAL person and not just somebody looking to take their money. The best way to do this is with a phone number, either in your email ads or on your web site. This will probably catch a lot of folks off guard because so few people do this. But trust me, if you want to get those sales that you wouldn’t have gotten had you not connected with these people on a personal level, you’ll do this. Want proof?
The other day I got a call from somebody who saw one of my email ads. We had a very nice long chat. I gave this person a lot of my knowledge free of charge. After the conversation, know what this person asked me? “Got any products that will teach me this stuff?” Think I didn’t make the sale? I have no doubt that this person will become a customer for life, just like so many have.
Does this always work? No…it doesn’t. You’re going to get those few who just want to chew your ear off and get as much as they can out of you with no intention of ever spending a dime. That’s okay. The ones who turn into lifelong customers make up for these deadbeats. This is why I do it. This is why I’ve been doing it for over five years now.
Talk to your prospects. It’s money in the bank.
