    Internet Marketing Tips – Top 100 Marketers of 2008

    Have you seen the top 100 marketers list from 2008? If not, you might be surprised to see some of the names on it and not on it as well as the ranks of some of these people. If you’re wondering what this has to do with anything of importance (other than a popularity contest) then I suggest you read the rest of this article, because believe it or not, it has a very important message that many marketers first starting out don’t really get because they get so caught up in the hype and the nonsense of Internet marketing.

    I just recently took a look at the list. I was shocked to see that Mike Filsaime was only number 100. Wow, I thought he was one of the most successful guys out there. And then I started to go through the rest of the list. There were guys and gals on it who I’d never even heard of. Talk about flying under the radar. And that, my friend, is what this article is REALLY all about…flying under the radar and being successful without anybody even knowing who you are.

    Many beginning marketers think that the way to riches ONLY is by selling “how to make money” products to other marketers. They also think that’s the only way to get recognized. Well, I got a news flash for you my friend. I have to buddies of mine that aren’t even ON that list and they’re bringing in a half million a year easy. They’re in niches that you wouldn’t even think of entering. They’ve got a product line a mile long and they’re selling these products like hotcakes. And nobody knows who they are.

    Even me. I’m not on that list. But I do darn well. No, I’m not a household name. Nobody talks about me like they do some of these “other” guys, but I’m certainly not starving. Do I care that nobody knows who the heck I am? Not in the least. Like I said, some of the folks on that list I never even heard of. Think they care? I think they’re laughing all the way to the bank, that’s what I think.

    Concentrate on building a solid business on a firm foundation. Learn how to market. Spend your money wisely. Don’t believe all the hype. Sell products that people want to buy. Trust me, you do all this and nobody is going to care whether or not you’re on some list.

    Least of all you.
