I love technology. The ever changing landscape of the Internet constantly gives marketers new opportunities to make money online. If you’re not a techno geek, don’t panic. There are some things out there that are so simple, anybody can do them. One of those things is video marketing. This is quickly becoming one of the best ways to get your marketing message across and if you’re not taking advantage of it, you’re toast. This article explains why and what you can do about it.

The explanation as to why needs nothing more than for you to head over to Google and look up just about anything your little heart can think of. Nine out of ten times, you know what you’re going to find at the very top of the search results? You’re going to find a video over at YouTube. YouTube is only the second most popular site on the Internet next to Google itself. If you think I’m kidding, head on over there and take a look at some of the videos that have gotten hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of views. Video is HUGE.

Okay, so how can you take advantage of this? I know a lot of people think that they have to get all kinds of fancy and expensive equipment. This is just not so. The truth is, you can create videos at NO COST at all. I kid you not. How do I know this? Because when I first started out, I did this all for free. All you need to start with is a program that can create slides like Powerpoint. Now, if you can’t afford Microsoft Office, don’t sweat it. You can download Open Office for free and it does the same thing.

The next thing you need is software to actually create the videos. Now, Camtasia is the best thing out there, but it’s also several hundred dollars. Well, don’t panic. You can download Camstudio, again, for free, and have the same exact functionality. Trust me, you won’t be able to tell the difference. Between Open Office and Camstudio, you can create professional quality videos that WILL get people to your site.

The only thing left is a great how to for creating the videos. My friend Kevin Riley has a great book on the subject that I have reviewed below. Take a look at Kevin’s videos over at YouTube. I think you will agree that they are absolutely fantastic. This guy knows what he’s doing.
