Internet Marketing Tips – Walking And Chewing Gum At The Same Time
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online; Tagged as: internet marketing strategies, internet marketing strategy, strategic internet marketingNo CommentsYeah, I know…my article titles are getting a little odd lately. Well, don’t worry…this article does have a purpose. As a matter of fact, this may be one of the most important articles you’ve read if you’re having trouble getting your marketing organized. The problem may very well be that you simply can’t walk and chew gum at the same time. If that’s the case, I’ve got the solution to that problem. Keep reading to find out just what it is.
I was speaking with a friend of mine who just started out in Internet marketing. I asked him how he was doing and he said he was doing great. I then asked him how much money he’s made and he told me none yet but he was doing great. Well, I couldn’t help wondering what he meant by great so I asked him. That’s when he told me all these things that he was doing. My head almost exploded. My friend was into four different membership sites, was learning HTML, reading a book on Adwords, another one on article marketing, another one on…okay, hold the phone.
Do you see what’s going on here? Do you see the path that he’s headed down? Do you recognize it? You should, because if you’re honest with yourself, you’ve been down this path as well. You may even be down it right now. Yes, I realize that there is a lot to learn when it comes to Internet marketing. The problem is, you can’t learn it all at once. Believe me, I know…I tried. You only end up frustrated and broke. You need to take things one at a time. Okay, so I said I was going to give you a solution to your problem and here it is.
Get yourself a scheduler. I use a plain old Excel spreadsheet. Each day, write down the tasks that you want to accomplish for that day. Don’t move on to the next task until you have finished the one before it. So if you’re first task is to read a book on article marketing, then read it. Don’t go onto anything else until you’ve finished it. If the book is incredibly long, then break it up into sections. But don’t try to do too many other things in your day along with reading this book because then the info from the book won’t stick. Your brain will be too cramped with other pieces of information.
Does the above take discipline? Yes, it does. However, the alternative is a chaotic marketing life that is never going to straighten itself out.
Take it from somebody who knows.
To YOUR Success,
Steven Wagenheim
