This is going to be a tip that a lot of marketers are going to have trouble doing. Well, too bad. That’s the way it should be. If you can’t walk the walk then you have no business being a marketer, especially if you’re promoting “how to make money” products. Now that I have just alienated about 99% of my readers and sent them off to go read some fluff piece, I’ll address those of you remaining who want to actually have success in this area. Ignore these tips at your own risk.

So what do I mean by walking the walk? I’m talking about these guys who promote products that promise you’ll make boat loads of money in a matter of days and haven’t made two nickels online. I ask these guys for proof and I either never hear from them or they write back to me telling me that they’re just starting out. Great, so how do you know that piece of trash you’re selling is any good? Your credibility is zero and THAT is why you don’t make any money.

Okay, so how do we fix this? How do we walk the walk? Well, you’re not going to do it selling make money products when you haven’t made any money yourself. So the first thing you have to do is get out of the make money niche. Sell something online where you don’t have to prove you’ve made any money. Niches like health, gambling, entertainment and sports are all very big. If you really have the marketing smarts that your great product says you have then you should have no trouble promoting products in another niche and making money.

Then, after you have done this, go back to your make money product. Put in some income proof. And I’m not talking about screen prints. With Photoshop, these things can be faked easily. I’m talking about getting a hold of Camtasia and make a video of you logging into your various online accounts. Show people just what you’re earning. These videos are great for proof. They are extremely difficult to fake.

Once you are able to do this, you will find that the sales in the “make money” niche will start to come. Why? Because you were able to show people that you are actually making money doing other things besides selling a book on how to make money. This is REAL credibility. This is how you walk the walk.

No doubt this article is going to ruffle a lot of feathers. Good! There are too many hack marketers out there promoting products that they have no business promoting because they don’t have two nickels to rub together.
