Internet Marketing Tips – You Must Make an Impression

Nobody ever got anywhere by being so-so. This article is going to explain.
First, I want to start off by mentioning a story that somebody told on the Warrior Forum, because it really hit home with me. George Wright told a great story about a teacher who, when he lost his sandwich back in school, gave him hers to eat. Now, the sandwich was horrible…worst he’d ever eaten. And yet, he never forgot her generosity in not wanting to see him go hungry.
This teacher made an impression on him.
Now naturally, as an Internet marketer, you don’t want to leave THAT kind of impression. It’s easy to feed your prospect crappy articles, newsletters and products. Anybody can do that…and many do. That’s part of the reason why this industry gets such a bad rap.
No, what we need are more marketers who go the extra mile. How about taking the time to actually respond personally to an email that a prospect sends you instead of outsourcing it to some overseas help desk? Think that won’t make an impression on the person…receiving a personal email from you?
How about putting together a free webinar that not only teaches something but doesn’t have a sales pitch at the end? Marketers are so jaded that whenever they hear the words “free webinar” they automatically assume that at the end of it, they’re going to get hit with some “can’t pass this up” offer. How about doing something different for a change?
You might also consider doing a whole instructional video series on a topic and just put it out there on YouTube with NO links anywhere in the video or your profile. Give them an email address if they want to contact you. You’ll be surprised how many people will do just that because you’ve given so much without asking anything in return.
And to keep in the spirit with this very idea, at the end of this article, you will not be getting any kind of a sales pitch. I’m simply going to leave you an email address to contact with any questions that you have. You have my word that I will respond to you…PERSONALLY.
Yes, making an impression on your prospects is a great way to earn their trust and turn yourself into a successful Internet marketer.
