The lure of making money on the Internet is very strong. The many sites promising untold riches in literally no time at all make it even more alluring. It’s no wonder that so many people turn to the Internet to make their fortune. However, what most people don’t realize, and soon find out, is that making a living online takes money, sometimes lots of it. Well, I’m going to share with you a few ways to break into Internet marketing on a shoestring budget. You won’t make millions to start, but you will be on your way to making a solid income.

The first thing you have to do is decide what it is you want to do. There are many ways to earn a living online, such as affiliate marketing, marketing your own products, working GPT (get paid to sites) and so on. So the first thing you need to do is find your direction. Without direction, there is no place to go. The last thing you want is to wander aimless from one thing to another.

The next thing you have to do is look to see how much you DO have to spend. If it’s nothing, there are free alternatives to some of the things that you need. However, if you can swing at least $50 in your first month, there are 3 things that you can get for a lot less than that. These 3 things will greatly help you in your quest for Internet riches, or at least a few extra bucks of spending cash to start.

The first thing you need is your own domain from which to conduct business from. You can get a domain for about $8 for a year. That is certainly not a lot of money. You will then be able to put up your own web site, sales page, or whatever it is that you want to do in order to establish your online presence.

The next thing you want to get is web hosting. A domain doesn’t do you any good without a web host. You can get some decent hosting for about $5 a month. It won’t get you anything fancy, but it will be functional and you will be able to put up just about any site that you wish.

The last thing that you absolutely must have is an autoresponder service. You can get a cheap one, which I don’t recommend, or go with something like Aweber, which is only about $20 a month. An autoresponder is critical for running your business because building a list is one of the best ways to make a steady income.

If you don’t have the money for these things, aside from the domain, which you can’t get for free, all the other items do have free options. They just aren’t as good.

You really can make a living online on a shoestring budget. You just have to know where to look.
