Product Creation Tips – Putting a Unique Spin on Your Product
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online, Product Creation; Tagged as: create ebook, create ebooks, ebook creation, how to write an ebook, Product CreationNo CommentsWithout revealing too much in this article, I’m going to show you how, by just putting a unique spin on a product idea, you can turn it into a monster hit. All it needs is a little imagination and a solid idea to start with.
A little while ago, I got a request from a friend of mine to look over a new product of his. I said sure. So he sent me his PDF. I saw the name, “Zombie Blogging” or something like that, and I just had to read this thing to see what it was all about. I was absolutely intrigued by the title.
Well, when I read the PDF, it was really just a very clever way to monetize blogs. I’ll leave it at that. The info was solid and the system was simple enough that anybody could do it with very little work. But that’s not what this article is about. It’s not the system. It’s the way it was presented.
Each step of the way was compared to something to do with zombies. That was the theme of the whole manual…and it was brilliant. The system itself could have easily been explained in a more straight forward and boring way and still got the same info across. But the unusual spin (the zombie theme) made this a very delightful read.
And if you go through the history of Internet marketing, and even non IM products, you’ll find many products with themes that probably sold more than they would have had the author gone about it in a more mundane way. Take Mike Filsaime’s “Butterfly Marketing.” That was just a very clever way to say “go viral” which, at that time, was a very overused term. Mike made it more appealing with his script and book.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying it’s easy to come up with unique slants like this. I for one am not the most creative person in the world and freely admit it. Most of my products are pretty straight forward with very little glitz. But if you can come up with a unique spin to an old idea, you’ll see sales like you’ve never seen before…provided you know how to market. But that’s another subject.
So, the next time you come up with your next product idea, think about how you can incorporate zombies, or vampires or whatever into it.
You just might find that sales are better than ever.
