Product Creation Tips – Try Before You Buy
Filed under: Home Business, Internet Marketing, Make Money Online, Product Creation; Tagged as: create ebook, create ebooks, ebook creation, how to write an ebook, Product CreationNo CommentsIf you’re a product creator, you might want to try this tactic with the next product you create, regardless of what kind of product you create. Yes, it will work with ebooks and software. This article is going to explain. Let’s start with ebooks. I know what you’re thinking. “How can I give somebody an ebook and then make them buy it after the fact?” Well, there is actually one way to do this. And it works very well if you have a product that has a lot of information in it.
For example, one of my products, My Secret Articles, what I did for a while was give people a little taste of it by allowing them to see the first few volumes for free. Then, if they wanted the rest of the set, they had to buy it. It worked very well. But what if you only have a single 100 page ebook?
Well, what you could do is send them the first couple of chapters and let them read it. Make sure that the info in it makes it so that they’d have to be crazy not to get the whole book. For example, in the second chapter you could go over one particular topic and then at the end say something like, “In the next chapter I’m going to show you how to take this tactic and turn it into a 6 figure a year business.” Think that won’t get sales?
For software it’s even easier. What you do is simple. You let them use the software for a limited amount of time. Then, after the time period has elapsed, you disable the software so that they can’t use it anymore. I suggest letting them use it for no more than a week or two…enough time to get an idea if the software is actually going to be useful for them.
Okay, so why would you even want to do this? Well, the answer is simple. Today, people are more cautious than ever with all the scams out there. So, if they could get to try your product BEFORE they actually had to pay money for it, they’d feel as if there was no risk in downloading it first since there is no up front cost. It’s kind of like giving them a free report, but the psychology is a little different. They’re thinking they’re getting a free product for a limited time.
You might want to try this tactic out the next time you create a product.
