You really don’t now what it’s like until you’ve walked a mile in another man’s shoes. Believe it or not, that’s what it’s like when it comes to making money online and marketing your products and yourself. The life of the movie star looks very glamorous, until you see the ugly side of that life. Well, when it comes to being an Internet marketing celebrity, or an up and coming one, this is also true. The article you’re about to read is going to take an honest look at the life of a successful Internet marketer.

I am by no means a John Reese or a Mike Filsaime. Sometimes, I think that maybe that’s a good thing. Why? Well, there are a lot of reasons. For starters, look up the word “guru” at Google and look and see what some people say about them in general. Some of the comments are far from flattering. Sure, you might be thinking that with all the money that these guys are making that they don’t care. Well, I wonder how true that is? I mean, everybody has feelings. I know I do. I sure wouldn’t want to be called a scammer or a crook. It would certainly bother the heck out of me.

But aside from the bad press that gurus get, what about the actual work involved with being successful. I’m talking about being VERY successful. Do you have any idea how hard these guys work to earn the kind of money that they do? And don’t even get me started on their budgets. Their advertising budget has to be more than what I earn a year. And their staff budget? I don’t even want to look at the paychecks that they write each month or however often they pay their staff.

This isn’t stuff that people think about when they say that they want to make money on the Internet. Well, I do…everyday. I sometimes wonder if I ever want to be as successful as somebody like John Reese, who does a million dollars in business in one day. I’m perfectly content with my six figure a year income and even that comes at a price.

So if you’re thinking that this is all a cakewalk, even once you’ve made it, it’s not.
