Turn on the news sometime. You’ll be amazed at some of the things that are going on in the world. I did that just this morning and discovered something that totally blew my mind. If you think you’ve even scratched the surface of video marketing and what you can do with videos, you haven’t. The story I’m about to share is going to take video marketing to a whole new level. Who knows where it’s going to go next?

Just recently, I saw a news story about a guy who had brain surgery and, are you ready for this…they uploaded the videos of the surgery to YouTube. Now, I don’t know about you, but this isn’t something I particularly want to watch. I guess if you’re thinking of becoming a brain surgeon, yeah, this could be a real fascinating thing to watch.

And that brings me to the point of this article. Web technology has taken us to places that we could have only imagined years ago. Today, if you go to a site like YouTube, you can find just about anything. Go on. Go there and type in just about anything in this world that you can think of and I can almost guarantee that you’ll find something related to it. That means we’re limited only by our own imaginations.

But what does that REALLY mean to us as marketers? Well, what it really means is that if we can conceive of an idea, we can present it in video form. With animation having come as far as it has, even if this idea isn’t something we could get humans to perform, there are always other alternatives. We may not have the budget of Pixar, but there is lots of great software around that can do some really cool animation. Sure, it will take some time to learn it, but the point is…anything is possible.

The Internet marketer who can think outside of the box and use his head for more than just a hat rack, will be the one to take the most advantage of these opportunities. No, he won’t have to make a video about brain surgery, but the opportunities are there.

Just bring your scalpel and your camcorder.
