Video Marketing Tips – Does Video Make Sense For Your Product?
No CommentsSo, you want to make a video to market your product or service. Problem is, you’re not even sure if your product or service is suitable for video. After all, not everything translates well to film. So what do you do? How can you tell whether or not you’re going to be wasting your time putting together a marketing video that nobody is going to watch? Well, this article may just have some answers for you that will help.
Probably the best way to figure out if video marketing is right for your product or service or not is by looking online to see if there are other similar products or services that are using video marketing for promotion. Certainly if you see a big name company making videos to promote something, they’re not going to be throwing away their money on something that doesn’t work. That’s a pretty good indication that a video for your product or service is a good investment.
Next thing you want to do is sit down and think like a consumer instead of a marketer for a change. So few Internet marketers do this and it’s a shame. Truth is, the best way to get into the head of your prospect is to think like one. Think about what YOU’D want to see if you were watching a video about some product. Would you want to see it demonstrated? Would you want the benefits explained? Would you want to see some kind of proof from satisfied customers? Interviewing people who have actually used the product can be a great video tool. Again, think about what YOU’D want to see and then put it together.
Finally, you want to make sure that the cost of doing the video is going to be worth it. After all, if you’re selling a $10 item and don’t expect to capture a large market, it may not make sense to even invest money into a video, even if you’re going to make one of those home videos. After all, there is the cost of your camcorder and video software. Are you even going to make that money back? Hopefully, you will. But still, these things have to be factored into your decision.
There is no question that video marketing works and is a great way to show prospects how great your product is. The only question is if it’s right for YOU.
