Internet marketers are a funny bunch. Have you ever looked at some of the videos that they use to promote their products? They’re SOOOOO serious. Come on guys…loosen up a little for crying out loud. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever thought about leaving in the bloopers when making your video? If not, you might want to rethink your decision. This article is going to show you why maybe leaving in the goofs could be the best thing for your marketing.

Do you watch Psych? It’s a great show. It’s funny, off the wall, and very well made. Well, at the end of the show, they show some outtakes and bloopers. And let me tell you, some of them are even funnier than the stuff they leave in. And guess what? Fans love that stuff. Heck, there used to be a show on many years ago that actually did just that…showed bloopers and outtakes from various shows. It was a big hit.

Truth is, people like to laugh. And in the right situation, there is nothing better than laughter to make a sale. Now naturally, if you’re making a video on something serious like battling cancer, you don’t want to turn that into a joke. Not only is it not going to go over well, it’s in very poor taste. However, if you’re selling make money online products, there is nothing wrong with injecting a little humor. And one way to do that is to let the mistakes remain in the video.

I do it. Every once in a while, I’ll stutter over some of my words. After I do, I’ll make a remark about how my teeth are rented, or something like that. I don’t want my videos to come across as bland and boring. I want people to see the real me…warts and all. I think it makes me more real when people see me make mistakes. I know, some people will say that it’s not professional. Well, again, it all depends on the context and who it is you’re reaching.

Point is, don’t discount leaving in the bloopers when you make a video. For the right audience, it could very well be the thing that turns your video into a viral monster.
